Annual Ice Age Chapter Board Meeting & Election of Officers. Join the Waushara County Chapter of the Ice Age Trail Alliance on Saturday, March 9th from 1-2pm for their annual meeting at the WWII Memorial Building in Wautoma. You can also attend for a special presentation with Daniel Watson, Volunteer Coordinator for the National Park Service’s Ice Age National Scenic Trail. Dan’s impressive background working for the NPS for 38 years as both a seasonal ranger and permanent employee will grasp onto your curiosity. Much of his career has been as a Federal Law Enforcement Officer. His duty posts have not only included, Wisconsin’s Ice Age National Scenic Trail, but also scenic trails, recreational areas, and historical sites across the country. As the current Volunteer Coordinator, he will share history of the IANST, the importance of volunteering on a state and national level, and the value of its volunteers. Dan will also take attendees on an inspiring journey fighting wildfires and saving the great outdoors. The board meeting will take place after from 2-4pm.
