    Date: March 19, 2019
    Time: 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM CDT
    Event Description:
Brown Bags and Books Discussion. Brown Bags and Books Club. This new book club, presented by Vision 2020, is aimed at raising awareness about the economic challenges facing our community and our country. Bring a lunch to the Wautoma Public Library on Tuesday, March 19th from 11:30-12:30pm to join the discussion. March’s book will be “Nickel and Dimed” by Barbara Ehrenreich. Barbara left home, taking the cheapest lodgings she could find and working whatever jobs she was offered. Going across the country, she worked as a waitress, a hotel maid, a cleaning woman, a nursing-home aide, and a Wal-Mart sales clerk. ‘Nickel and Dimed’ takes us “undercover” into the life of the unskilled worker to reveal the dark side of American prosperity. Copies of this month’s book will be available for check out at the Wautoma Public Library. If you are unable to attend the meeting but would still like to discuss the book, join in on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/313550852571961/.
