Name: Black Hawk Folk Society Concert
    Date: August 15, 2021
    Time: 2:00 PM - 2:00 PM CDT
    Event Description:
Black Hawk Folk Society invites you to enjoy an afternoon with Patty Stevenson and Craig Siemsen Sunday, August 15 in beautiful lakeside Mt. Morris Town Park.  Their concert begins at 2 p.m., with general admission tickets being sold at the gate.

This singer-songwriter folk duo is acclaimed for their impeccable musicianship, gorgeous harmonies, and gentle stage humor. Patty Stevenson, both a classically trained pianist and finger style guitarist, has mastered writing portrait songs of people she knows or has known.  Craig Siemsen brings to the stage both excellent guitar-picking and a voice that combines honey and grit. His songwriting speaks to the human condition with poetry and humor.  “A sound that is full-on spark and joy,” is how one critic described the combination these two artists create.

Patty and Craig met in the mid-1980’s at a folk festival, both with thriving solo careers.  Eventually they married, but maintained their solo careers until music-loving and wise friends suggested they try performing as a duo.  Folk music lovers everywhere are glad! Their recordings have been listed as DJ favorites and have received international airplay. Their CD, “Paint Me a Picture,” topped folk charts.   To learn more about Patty and Craig, or to sample their music, please visit https://pattycraig.com.
