2008 WACC Committees
Independence Day Celebration - Denise Nighbor, Chair
Handles all aspects of the Chamber’s annual Independence Day event, including vendors, rental of fairgrounds, hiring fireworks vendor (paid for by Hometown Bank), clean-up
Beautification Committee - Marv Wagner, Chair
Work with WCVB to contact downtown businesses and encourage them to enhance their storefronts; will also work to otherwise make Main Street more appealing (i.e., banners, flowerboxes)
Fundraising/Banquet/Events - Mary Ann Saiyed
Will work with WCVB to ensure Chamber presence and participation at local events; may opt to hose a fundraiser
Nominating/By-Laws - Sarah Leikness, Chair
Responsible for gathering names of nominees for BusinessPerson of the Year aware; keeping by-laws current
Parades - Mary Ann Hudziak/Eric Weil, Co-Chairs
Solicits entries for Chamber’s two annual parades (Independence Day and Christmas) and coordinates with Police Department and parade announcer
Sports/Trade Shows - Linda Freudenthal, Chair
Responsible for recruiting individuals to staff WACC booths at Milwaukee Sports Show, EAA, DU and other relevant events
Dues/Budget - Eric Weil, Chair
Marketing - Rick Schmitz, Chair
