Organizers announce today that four mobile pantry sites will continue during the month of April 2021 with two schedule changes. Beginning April 6th, pantry hours at the Waushara County Fairgrounds will be reduced. The pantry will be open from 10-11:30am. This change is in response to patron use patterns and increased distribution efficiency. The pantry held at the Wild Rose Fire Department will be closed on Saturday, April 3rd to allow volunteers to spend the holiday weekend with their families. Residents interested in receiving FREE food can visit one pantry site per week. This food is available for ALL community members. No proof of identification, income, or other information is required. When attending a drive-thru pantry, drivers remain in their vehicles and volunteers place boxes of food in their trunk or back seat. Drivers are asked to make space in their trunks to assist with this process. Mobile sites have been serving Waushara County since last May.These pantries have been provided by the Wisconsin?s Hunger Task Force and Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin in partnership with Waushara County Food Pantry, the Waushara Prevention Council, Inc. the Waushara County Department of Human Services, community volunteers and host sites located throughout Waushara County.
