    Time: 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM CDT
    Event Description:
Second Saturday Concert. Patchouli and Terra Guitarra Concert at Mt. Morris Town Park. Enjoy a break from spring chores with a live concert performance by Patchouli and Terra Guitarra on Sunday, June 9, 2 p.m. in Mt. Morris Town Park in downtown Mt. Morris.  Julie Patchouli and Bruce Hecksel are the contemporary singer-songwriters who comprise this duo.  They delight their audiences with assured and mellow vocals, accompanied by 6 and 12-string guitar, bass, percussion, and more.  Patchouli and Terra Guitarra have released 21 CD’s, many of them topping national charts and receiving numerous awards.  They tour internationally, including a second China tour in July.  Much of their sound reflects a love for African and Latin music traditions.  Visit www.patchouli.net to sample their music and learn more about the performers. This family friendly concert will be preceded by a 1 p.m. potluck lunch open to all.  General admission tickets will be sold at the park entrance.  Tickets for Black Hawk’s day-long folk music festival on Saturday, July 13 (also in Mt. Morris Town Park) will be available to purchase, as well.  Audience members are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating. This beautiful, lakeside park offers free, on-site parking and is handicap friendly.  (Rain site:  Mountain View Community Center).  Black Hawk is a 501(c)(3)non-profit and completely volunteer-driven.  Thanks to the following sponsors who make these concerts and other events, including educational outreach programs possible: Conners/Barrett & Company LLC; Louise Coumbe; The Frey Family Foundation; Patricia Grant; Paul & Betty Hagan; The Dick Hansen Family; Mt.
