The Black Hawk Folk Society is thrilled to welcome back to Mt. Morris, Chris Kokesh and LJ Booth on Saturday, January 13th at 7:00pm! LJ is an accomplished singer and songwriter with a distinctive finger-picking guitar style. Chris is a seasoned fiddler, singer and songwriter who toured nationally for 15 years with the all-women folk and bluegrass quartet Misty River. This duo began touring together in 2011. They take great joy in combining their distinctive poetic voices, the vibrant palette of guitars and fiddle, and the sparkle of their harmonious singing to create a memorable evening of story and song for all of us. There will be a potluck at 6:00 pm before the concert held at the Mountain View Community Center, at N3137 21st Lane, Wautoma, WI 54982, just off Highway 152, south of Mt. Morris.
