Coloma Concert in the Park. The Coloma Area Historical Society (CAHS) has decided to go ahead with its summer fundraisers in the park with modifications. “CAHS has decided that people coming to the concerts and markets are able to be responsible for their own behavior and health. CAHS wants people to have fun and to be safe at the same time,” said Susan Apps, President. There will be hand sanitizer in the park and soap in the bathrooms. Masks will be available to purchase for those who want them, and the Coloma Park has plenty of room to social distance. They encourage people who are fearful of the virus to stay home and be safe. The first fundraiser will be the Del Ray’s Concert on Tuesday, July 14. This concert will be in the Coloma Community Park from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. The audience is encouraged to bring their own chairs and if they use the picnic tables, to sit at a social distance. Masks are encouraged, especially if dancing. The CAHS will have the bar open for drinks and will be selling packaged snacks. As of this time, no dinner items are planned. This is a major fundraiser for the historical society so the audience will be asked to generously donate during the “pass the hat” and the 50/50 raffles. This is a “Cruise In” and old cars will be given preferential parking near the music, which is another great place to social distance.
