Name: Blackhawk Folk Society Presents: Escaping Pavement
    Date: June 10, 2018
    Time: 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM CDT
    Event Description:
Hailed as "The most dynamic Americana group out of Detroit, Michigan," Escaping Pavement masterfully blends and blurs the lines of bluegrass, folk, and Americana. Their unique joint front person arrangement, with Emily Burns and Aaron Markovitz sharing equally in singing, songwriting, and guitar playing, allows for astounding, harmony-driven musical interplay. With over 700 shows under their belt, a new EP comprised of music inspired by the National Parks, and a non-stop touring schedule, this duo is spreading their roots-based message far and wide. See them this Sunday, June 10th, at the Mountain View Community Center located at N3137 21st Lane. A potluck will take place at 1:00pm with music to follow at 2:00pm.
