Name: Black Hawk Folk Society Virtual Concert
    Date: August 8, 2020
    Time: 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM CDT
    Event Description:
Black Hawk Folk Society invites you to join fellow music lovers for the next installment of its virtual concert series.  This Saturday, August 8th, features singer-songwriter Katie Dahl, back on the Black Hawk schedule by popular demand!  Katie’s concert will begin streaming at 7 p.m.  Visit Katie Dahl’s Facebook page, or Black Hawk’s Facebook page or website to link and enjoy the concert.
Music and performance have been a part of Dahl’s life from early on, but her musical path changed direction in college, thanks to a patch of ice and a wrist-breaking fall.  Unable to play the oboe, she set about learning how to play guitar.  Since then Dahl, who calls Door County home, has traveled and performed throughout the world, both as soloist and sharing the stage with other musicians.  She has released four original solo albums, teamed up with other musicians for several other albums, and won multiple awards for her talents.  Her songs have been praised for their ability to take listeners on journeys to beautiful, real landscapes, that are firmly grounded with a sense of place.   Visit Dahl’s social media to sample her talent and learn more about her.
Black Hawk Folk Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and providing folk music to Wisconsin’s heartland, especially during the pandemic.  Upcoming concerts include performances by Dan Weber, Michael and Joshua Ammons, and others.   Please watch for updates at this site, or at Black Hawk's website or Facebook page.
