Black Hawk Folk Society Second Saturday Concert. Join the Black Hawk Folk Society on Saturday, December 14th for their Second Saturday Concert at the Mountain View Community Center. They will present Bob Bovee & Pop Wagner at 7:00pm. Pop Wagner has quite the reputation as a singer, picker, fiddler, lasso twirler, poet and downright funny guy. He appeared frequently on Public Radio's A Prairie Home Companion during the show's formative years and for the last four decades he has worked his cowboy magic throughout 44 states and ten countries. Bob Bovee first heard cowboy songs and other old time music sung by his grandmother and uncle, such gems as "Little Joe the Wrangler" and "The Zebra Dun." He has spent his life seeking out the songs of the West and making the public aware of our great musical heritage. Singing and yodeling his way through a huge repertoire accompanied by guitar, harmonica, banjo and autoharp. Bob and Pop shows are filled with history, folklore, stories and humor that will entertain any crowd. There will be a potluck before the concert at 6:00 PM.
