    Event Description:
Black Hawk Folk Society Presents Curtis and Loretta Concert. Black Hawk Folk Society’s Second Saturday series features Curtis & Loretta in concert Saturday, February 9.  Join this husband-wife duo at Mountain View Community Center, N3137 21st Lane (near Wautoma, just outside Mt. Morris) for an evening of lush vocals paired with instrumental expertise.  Concert-goers can expect original songs, plus traditional tunes from the British Isles and America—all woven together with humor and the performers’ capacity to examine the ordinary to find and celebrate the extraordinary.  The music begins at 7:00 p.m. with general admission tickets sold at the door.  Curtis Teague and Loretta Simonet met on a Texas beach in 1977.  They have been touring and performing together ever since.  Curtis’ instrument inventory includes mandocello, mandolin, guitar, clawhammer banjo, ukulele, and harmonica.  Loretta provides acoustic beauty via the Celtic harp, guitar, celeste, mandolin, kazoo, or shakers.  Learn more about this award-winning singer-songwriter duo and hear samples of their music with a visit to www.curtisandloretta.com . Mountain View Community Center is handicap accessible, with free and on-site parking.  The evening begins with a 6 p.m. potluck supper, open to all.  Black Hawk Folk Society is a non-profit volunteer-driven group whose mission is to bring quality music to central Wisconsin.
