Spend an evening with two of the finest folk singer-songwriters in the Midwest: Curtis Teague and Loretta Simonet. Curtis and Loretta will take the stage Saturday, April 14 at Mountain View Community Center, N3137 21st Lane, near Wautoma, just outside Mt. Morris. General admission tickets will be sold at the door (adults: $8; 12 & under: free). The husband-wife duo’s performance begins at 7 p.m. Curtis and Loretta have earned numerous awards, including Best Acoustic Performers of the Twin Cities by City Pages. The two have shared the stage with Pete Seeger, Arlo Guthrie, Holy Near, Vassar Clements, Claudia Schmidt, among others. Recently, they were awarded an Arts Tour Minnesota Grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, making it possible for the duo to share their music at 22 locations throughout Minnesota. They will be performing a group of songs Loretta wrote to celebrate unsung heroes.
